St. Anthony's High School Wasalakotte

St. Anthony’s High School, Wasalakotte, established in 1825, by late Rev. Father Jeranimo Michael, an Italian missionary priest, is a unique school with an enviable reputation. Although the school was handed over to government administration in 1961, the close relationship with the nearby church, the National Shrine of St. Anthony, has not been affected. Today, the school is attached to Galewela Education Office of the Central Province.

Reading Room

Donors of the Reading Room established in the Primary Section visited the school on February 15, 2012. They were very happy to witness how creatively their donation was being utilized by the students and the teachers concerned. The school has received a large number of books for the Reading Room from Room to Read. By now, the students have read almost all the books in the Reading Room several times.
